Match report On a near perfect day to play cricket at Mineralwall Park, Stonehaven Skipper won the toss and decided to bat first. With only 9 players available on the day for STCC, they started their innings with same number of Gordonians players fielding due to 2 players being late! Jamil and Dalgarno started off well with missing outside edges on a regular basis. After couple of overs when Gordonians had their full 11 players and soon the difference was apperant. First couple of wicket went to Dalgarno who bowled A.Gale with a beautiful outswinger and then found the outside edge of D.Long Snr. Jamil bowled his usual miserly spell of 7 overs for only 8 runs and produced a clean edge which was sharply pounced by Amith at second slip. Introduction of Scott Rowell got things spiced up a little. His pace and bounce troubled ths STCC batsman. B.Campbell of STCC who was batting positively, played one shot too many until he sliced one to cover point where Mk held onto a good catch. But the bowling performance of the day came from young Pranav. He bowled 2 overs and picked up 3 quick wickets at the expense of only 1 run! This broke the resistance of any sort from STCC and their innings folder at 18th over when Rowell picked up the final wicket with an accurate yorker. STCC 38 all out.

Gordonians went straight out to chase down the low total and preferably quickly in a hope to catch some of world cup action in time! Indy and Mk opened the innings, with Mk looking to be in a hurry to finish the game. So they did in 3.5 overs with Mk not out at 26 and Indy 13 no. Gordonians take a good momentum with them to the next crucial match against Siyapa at Duthie Park.
