Match report Gordonians won the toss and elected to bat. Kinloch opened the bowling with Ahmed and the ever reliable Bowman. It was a careful start from Hamza and Aman with the first 4 overs only yielding 5 runs, but runs then came in a burst as Hamza cracked a couple of boundaries off Bowman. The score had moved to 61 and Hamza mistimed a drive off Bowman to the steady hands of Kiyani, who then clean bowled Richards for a duck in the next over. Himanshu looked in ominous form as he settled in by accumulating runs with ease. Aman had advanced to 46 before he was bowled by Kiyani, the score now 107 for 3. Swapnil played watchfully and Himanshu was next to go, bowled by the ageless Trivedi for 37. Abrar wasn't in the mood for hanging around, and the returning Saim was battered for 2 sixes in a very short lived spell. Swapnil was bowled by Trivedi for 17 and Mayank gave excellent support to Abrar as the total rattled on to an above par 206, with Abrar unbeaten on 43.
Owais and Trivedi opened for Kinloch and whilst Trivedi looked for runs, Owais was becalmed. A 20 dot ball vigil by Owais was brought to an end as Himanshu got him lbw. Saim then took 20 balls to get off the mark as the Gordonians total looked well out of the reach of the visitors. Forbes took a return catch to remove Trivedi for 21, and this signalled the introduction of Lewis Cameron to the attack, and he was immediately in the wickets as Ahmed snicked behind. His next over saw Zulfiket mistiming a drive to Forbes at mid off, a dismissal that was to be repeated in the 4th over from Cameron who was then sitting on figures of 3 for 15 off 4 overs. Wickets were falling at the other end as well, with Hamza picking up a couple, including Saim stumped by Mayank for a painstaking 6. Swapnil was brought on to finish things off, taking 2 for 2 in 3 overs, both runs conceded being wides, as Kinloch were all out for 98 in the 36th over.
