Match report Donny had done a remarkable job in repairing the pitch that had been played on the day before in conditions that had caused most games in Aberdeen to be abandoned. Forfarshire were invited to bat and they soon tore in to anything loose and half decent in equal measure. Rahul won't have been hit for 6 off his 2nd ball very often, and Craig Wallace followed this up with 2 fours, the first over going for 16. Parker was slightly more watchful in the next over from Swapnil which only went for 4, but Wallace savaged 18 off the next over from Swapnil before being out for a very rapid 37, helping a short ball from Darri in to the welcoming hands of Swapnil when it looked destined to be fetched from the boundary. Parker then cut loose and eventually got himself bowled by Rahul attempting a reverse sweep when on 48. Michael Leask had made 24 when a mix up in running saw him sent back to the non-strikers end, but he was beaten there by a direct hit from Mayank at point. The run rate then slowed but Mohammed and Johnston ran exceptionally well and took the score to 190 for 3 off the 20 overs. The bowling figures don't make good night time reading.
The Gordonians innings imploded as they chased the scoreboard rather than play to the bowling. Adam hit a couple of boundaries but fell for 9. Rahul top scored with 12 and Marc scored 8, as we totalled 51 all out off 16 overs.
The gulf in class was woefully apparent in all aspects of the game as Forfarshire ran quickly and well, fielded well, and hit the ball harder, further, and more often. They batted as a team whilst Gordonians batted as individuals.
