Match report The start was delayed due to a School match starting late and running on. The early removal of Ferguson buoyed the Gordos attack, and once Pro Saeed was out for 33, the prospects of bowling Perth out for a manageable score looked possible. An unbeaten 47 from number 8 Brown took the score up to 173 off 45 overs with Hiru taking 3 for 33 off his 9 overs.
Priestley was surprisingly sent in to open and was bowled by Nangia for 5, Pandit LBW to the same bowler for a duck. Nangia also removed Nipun for 3 whilst Tait at the other end took out Jason for 11 and Lowden for a duck. Then the fightback began as Phani and Mayank took charge, unbeaten on 12 and 29 respectively as the weather intervened. Only 3 more overs had to be bowled for a result, but with the score on 66 for 5, and very much in favour of Perth, they were happy to hit the road, with Mayank particularly disappointed as he was confident of racking up the runs required to win in the remaining 28 overs.
